Jar of Hearts- Book Review

This book was absolutely fantastic. It was full of suspense and completely binge worthy!

Hi everyone! If you’re new to my blog, welcome! It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted so, I figured I would reintroduce myself and tell you a little about my corner of the internet over here.

I’m Sarah, I’m a teacher, dog mom, and book worm. I love reading thrillers and crime fiction, I could talk about them all day! Here on my blog I post my reviews, share upcoming titles, and my general thoughts on literature and thrillers.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier.

A brief synopsis: When she was sixteen years old, Angela, a popular, charismatic girl disappeared without a trace and for years there were no leads in the case.

Fast forward to present day, fourteen years after Angela went missing, her remains are finally found in the woods near her best friend, Georgina’s, house. The truth of what happened to Angela finally comes to light. It turns out Georgina and her boyfriend at the time, Calvin, were involved in her murder. Calvin killed Angela and Georgina helped cover it up. At first glance it appears to be an open and shut case. But it’s not that simple. More women start to show up dead, killed in the same manor as Angela.

Throughout the book, readers are taken on a journey through Georgina and Angela’s past. Secrets are dug up, lies are discovered, and nothing is as it seems.

I love a good scandalous story where the characters have dark, secret pasts. Where our narrator is unreliable and you start to question everything. This was one of those stories that kept me up all night trying to figure out what happened. And the twists in this story! Just when you think you have it figured out, BAM! you’re hit with a crazy reveal.

Jar of Hearts is super suspenseful and fast paced. The story is truly chilling. If you’re a thriller fan, this is a must read!
